My love for nutrition began at an early age. I was first known by friends and family as a reliable and dedicated taste-tester. Although this still rings true today, this love quickly expanded into a passion for cooking, creativity, and toward making a valuable impact on others through the dishes I served. As I grew older however, I discovered that food was meant to impact more than just our senses. My enjoyment for cooking soon became an appreciation for food as fuel. This evolved into a commitment to honor the dining experience by infusing it with the ingredients needed to enhance quality and sustainability of life. I’ve since dedicated 7+ years of study, volunteerism, and internship to nutrition and dietetics; graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Akron. As of today, I've served 5+ years as a registered licensed dietitian within both frontline and management roles. In all positions, I have had the ability to work with multiple interdisciplinary teams to help those from different backgrounds explore what nutrition means to them. As a result of these past experiences, I strongly believe in a culture of teamwork and in utilizing an individualized, person-centered, and evidence-based approach to healthcare. I strive to actively listen and identify the needs of those I work with and use this as the foundation and framework for the care I help to provide. I aim to create an approachable, judgement-free, goal-driven, compassionate, and self-fulfilling environment. My ultimate goal is to offer supportive, practical, and effective guidance to those looking to confidently enrich their lives through nutrition. I am thrilled to partner with Revelations Counseling and Wellness and believe their multifaceted nature will change many lives for the better. When I am away from the office, I spend time in the company of my husband, friends, and family. I love to participate in most creative, outdoorsy, and/or adventurous activities.
